tippy types are intended for use with Apple and PC (Lenovo, HP, and Dell) laptops.

Currently all tippy types are made with the USA return key

MACBOOKS:

Please check your model/year. There are small variations in Macbook keyboard configurations in different models/years.

Unsure what model you have? It’s simple. Click the apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen. Your model will appear in the ‘about this mac’ section.

If you have one of the following models/years you will have a PERFECT fit:

MacBook pro 13” 2020 – 2023

If you have one of the following models/years be aware that your esc key will be partially covered by a tippy type esc key but it will still work great and this does not impact functionality!

Note for touchbar models: your touchbar includes an esc key so you will not use the tippy type esc key. Also, your right/left arrow keys will be partially covered by the tippy type right/left arrow keys but, again, this won’t greatly impact overall functionality.

LENOVO:

Our product is designed for a perfect fit on the latest Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 model (14″ Intel).

Note that keyboards will vary by Lenovo model. We are in testing to see which other models this will be compatible with, stay posted for more.

HP:

Our product is designed for a perfect fit on the latest HP EliteBook 830 G10 Notebook PC model (13-inch).

Our product is designed for a perfect fit on the latest Dell Latitude 5450 model (13-inch).

RECOMMENDED NAIL LENGTH

We recommend this model of tippy type keyboard cover for up to medium length nails (think medium in the Apres Gel-X extension line…which is quite long!).

HOW DO PRE-ORDERS WORK?

Ordering your tippy type on preorder is the best way to make sure you are first to receive yours when we get them in stock! We can’t wait for you to get yours!

If you make a preorder purchase you will receive an order confirmation when you purchase and we will be in touch with further shipping updates!

RE: Timelines – Since receiving so many requests for Lenovo, Dell, HP and Pink (offered for Mac for now) we are currently working on an estimated shipping date! And you all loved Matte Black and Milky White for MacBook so much we sold out! We’re making more and taking preorders for them too! We will update this space as we have more info!

EXCHANGE / RETURN POLICY

You can return your item within 21 days of receiving it. After 21 days, we will no longer accept returns. We do not offer exchanges.
You will receive a refund of the product price you paid minus the cost of return shipping. The original cost of shipping your tippy type to you is non-refundable.
To start a return process, please email sales@tippytype.co.za and we will email you a return label via Pudo.
Please put your order number in the subject line and we will be in touch with next steps. Please allow up to 3-5 business days for a reply. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not receive an email back from us shortly after reaching out.
Once we receive your item please allow 10-14 business days to issue your refund. We appreciate your patience during this time. Thank you!
We will only be able to provide you with a full refund if your Tippy Type is still in mint condition.

THINGS TO REMEMBER (DISCLAIMERS)

Remember to remove your tippy type before trying to close your laptop! Tippy types are not intended to stay on your laptop while closed.
The primary function of a tippy type is to assist your typing. It will provide some protection to your keyboard but it is not meant to fully protect it from spills etc.
